In a TikTok livestream on Monday, December 15, 2025, Mama Gift updated her followers from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, saying they were ready to depart.

“So guys, we’ve boarded and everything is fine. We’re settled inside the plane, and Baby Gift is right here next to me,” she said with joy.

She explained that, unlike previous attempts, airline staff did not turn them away due to her son’s medical condition. One staff member was assisting in connecting him to an oxygen tube to support his breathing.

“Baby Gift is right here, and someone is helping with his oxygen tube. We have finally set off for treatment,” she added.

Mama Gift expressed hope that she would return to Kenya with her son fully treated, praying for a safe journey and a powerful testimony.

Criticism from netizens

The trip comes days after she sought God’s help following criticism from a netizen who berated her for repeatedly asking for donations for her son’s treatment.

In a TikTok post on Friday, December 5, 2025, Mama Gift prayed for a healing miracle, expressing the emotional strain caused by the online backlash.

“God, I ask for one miracle: heal my son for Your glory. Let those who mock me face consequences. We are in and out of hospitals daily. Please help us. If you are healthy, always thank God and don’t mock those struggling,” she wrote.

The criticism came from TikTok user @lucykirika, who questioned why she continued appealing for help and suggested her repeated requests were a burden to users.

“How many millions do you need before you stop disturbing people? Why do you keep asking for donations all the time?” the user posted.
