“Don’t leave the Limuru III conference empty-handed!” urged Public Service CS Moses Kuria in a message to attendees.
He noted that there are sponsors for the event who have contributed generously, ensuring that participants won’t go hungry. Kuria mentioned unspecified individuals who have donated millions for the conference within the last 24 hours.

Initially intending to attend, Kuria canceled his plans after being informed by co-convener Jeremiah Kioni that he was not welcome.
The Limuru III gathering, scheduled for today, aims to bring together over 10 political parties from the Mt Kenya region to address pressing community issues. Organizers, including Kioni and Martha Karua, stress the region’s crisis over the past two years, advocating for unity and collaboration to find solutions.

Karua emphasizes the constitutional right of people with shared interests to convene and discuss matters affecting their community.
Despite resistance from some key political figures in the Mt Kenya region, the conference is expected to proceed as planned.
