The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has revealed that 26 programmes at the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) are still open for applications.

The courses, which include both Diploma and Certificate options, are available to all eligible applicants, with the application window closing on April 30, 2025.
“Great news for those seeking KMTC opportunities. After the recent student placement exercise, 26 courses still have a few vacancies,” KUCCPS posted on X.
According to the announcement, the programmes remain open despite the conclusion of the main placement round. Prospective students can find the course requirements and a list of KMTC campuses offering the programmes on the KUCCPS Student’s Portal (http://students.kuccps.net).
Certificate courses with available slots include Community Health Assistant, Health Records and Information Technology, Emergency Medical Technician, Medical Engineering, Nutrition and Dietetics, Orthopaedic Trauma Medicine, and Public Health.
Diploma programmes on offer include Community Health, Emergency Medical Technology, Health Counselling, Health Insurance Management, Health Promotion, Health Records and IT, Medical Engineering, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Medical Social Work, Mortuary Science, and Nutrition and Dietetics.
Other Diploma courses include Occupational Therapy, Orthopaedic Technology, Orthopaedic and Trauma Medicine, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Public Health, Radiography and Imaging, and Speech and Language Therapy.
Earlier in January, KUCCPS announced that candidates who sat for the KCSE between 2000 and 2024 are eligible to apply for KMTC and TVET courses. Applicants were encouraged to select institutions near their homes to reduce living expenses.
KUCCPS noted that application timelines for degree programmes and Teachers Training Colleges (TTC) would be communicated later. All applications must be submitted via the official KUCCPS portal.
