Sources say Juma, who was originally from Mombasa, first sought treatment at Bombolulu Hospital in Kaloleni after showing signs of illness, but his condition deteriorated, prompting his transfer to Mariakani Sub-County Hospital.

Kaloleni Sub-County Police Commander Adan Ibrahim confirmed the incident, saying the student’s body was later collected by his family for burial in Mombasa in line with Islamic traditions.

The tragedy occurred as thousands of candidates nationwide continue to sit for their KCSE examinations, which began earlier this week.
