Hon. Benard Sila Unveils Impressive List of Achievements in Mwingi Central Ward

In a heartfelt address to the residents of Mwingi Central Ward, Hon. Benard Mwangangi Sila, the Member of County Assembly (MCA), expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to serve.

Reflecting on the progress made during the financial year 2023/2024, Hon. Benard Mwangangi Sila credited the collaborative efforts between local leadership and the community for the remarkable achievements witnessed thus far.

Acknowledging the unwavering support from Governor Dr. Julius Malombe, Hon. Benard Mwangangi Sila extended his appreciation for the commitment towards advancing the development agenda in Mwingi Central Ward.

According to Sila, during the first quarter of the fiscal year (July to October 2023), a series of impactful projects were successfully completed, enhancing the livelihoods of the residents. These projects included the construction of vital infrastructure such as sand dams, borehole piping, electrification of dispensaries, rehabilitation of street lights, and improvement of drainage systems, among others.

Transitioning into the second quarter (October to December 2023), Sila adds that the momentum of progress continued with the construction of educational facilities and environmental conservation initiatives, further enriching the community.

As the year progressed into the third quarter (January to March 2024), Hon. Benard Mwangangi Sila says he remained steadfast in his commitment to addressing critical needs within the ward. Key achievements during this period included the construction of water tanks to mitigate water shortages, expansion of healthcare facilities with the completion of modern maternity wings and mortuaries, as well as infrastructure upgrades such as cabro works, fencing projects, and maintenance of public utilities.

Of significant note was the distribution of bursaries to 257 beneficiaries, totaling Ksh. 1,160,000, underscoring Hon. Benard Mwangangi Sila’s dedication to empowering the youth through education.

In a bid to foster technological advancement and accessibility, an ICT center open to the public was launched at Baptist Polytechnic, symbolizing a forward-thinking approach to community development.

Looking ahead, Hon. Benard Mwangangi Sila assured the residents of Mwingi Central Ward of continued progress and the unveiling of more impactful projects aimed at enhancing the quality of life for all.
