Former Cabinet Secretary and Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa is grieving the loss of her mother, Sidi Karisa.
In a statement on Sunday evening, December 28, 2025, Jumwa expressed profound sorrow over the passing of the family matriarch, who died following a short illness.

“It is with deep sorrow and humility that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Sidi Karisa, who died after a brief illness,” she said.
The family described Sidi Karisa as the heart and pillar of their household, highlighting her impact on many lives through her love, kindness, humility, and strong moral guidance.
“Our mother was the guide, pillar, and heart of our family. She touched many lives with her love, kindness, humanity, and wise counsel. Her memory will live on forever in our hearts,” Jumwa added.
She further announced that the burial will take place on Monday, December 29, 2025, at 4:00 pm at the family home in Takaungu, Mnarani Ward, Kilifi North Constituency, Kilifi County.
“We wish to inform the public that the burial of our beloved mother will take place tomorrow at 4:00 pm at our family home in Takaungu, Mnarani Ward, Kilifi North Constituency, Kilifi County. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un,” she concluded.
