Speaking during a church fundraiser at Katoloni Primary School on Sunday, Ndeti emphasized the importance of bringing tangible benefits when seeking the attention of the Kamba people.

“I’m open to anyone visiting Machakos, but let them come bearing gifts that can uplift our people,” she said.

She encouraged visiting leaders to interact respectfully with locals, share their offerings, and return to their home areas peacefully.

“We will reflect afterward and consider what value they added before deciding our way forward,” she added.

Ndeti also rallied the Kamba community to remain united behind Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, urging full support for his 2027 presidential campaign.

“Let’s be consistent and loyal. Kalonzo is our own, and we must support his leadership bid,” she said.

Highlighting her development agenda, the governor reiterated her commitment to improving lives at the grassroots level. She announced plans to distribute gas cookers to help families move away from firewood, promoting cleaner cooking methods.

Ndeti also celebrated a major milestone in county revenue collection, revealing that Machakos had hit a record KSh 2 billion in Own Source Revenue (OSR) for the current financial year—up from KSh 1.1 billion when she took office in 2022.

“This is the highest ever, and it’s the result of reforms we’ve undertaken to tighten revenue collection and eliminate leakages,” she said, noting that the potential revenue capacity, according to the CRA, is up to KSh 6 billion annually.

Reforms under her administration include automation of payment systems, full digitization of revenue streams, county-wide revenue mapping, and strict enforcement measures.

“Some people are bitter because I dismantled corrupt networks—especially in revenue. But I will keep going. Public resources must be protected,” she asserted.

Ndeti cited the health sector as one of the top performers in revenue growth.

“Health revenue rose from Sh31 million in my first year to Sh230 million, and now stands at Sh600 million thanks to full automation,” she noted, adding that this ensures the sustainability of health services.

She dismissed critics and affirmed her commitment to service delivery:

“My focus is on raising the bar and leaving a solid foundation for those who come after me,” Ndeti concluded.
