Governor Malombe: Time for Kalonzo to Lead Kenya

Kitui Governor Dr. Julius Malombe has declared unwavering support for Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka’s presidential ambitions, saying the time is ripe for him to lead the nation.

Speaking during the burial of Mzee Mburu Mairu in Tseikuru on Tuesday, Governor Malombe urged the Kamba community to unite and rally behind Kalonzo’s bid for the presidency. He described the former Vice President as an experienced leader with the vision and integrity to transform the country.

“It is time for our own son, Kalonzo Musyoka, to lead this nation. As a community, we must come together and give him all the support he needs,” said Malombe.

In addition to his political message, the Governor announced plans to implement the long-awaited Kathungu Water Project in Tseikuru. He assured residents that the project would help address the persistent water scarcity in the area, promising that it would soon be rolled out.

Earlier in the day, the leaders visited the South Eastern Heritage site in Tseikuru — a joint initiative between the County Government of Kitui and the national government. The site is expected to be officially launched soon and is envisioned to promote cultural preservation and boost local tourism.

The show of unity among the leaders underscored growing regional support for Kalonzo’s presidential quest ahead of the 2027 general elections.
