Fried chicken remains the top pick, followed by pizza, burgers, and several popular local dishes.

Uber Eats noted that the love for fried chicken cuts across different age groups and is widespread in both urban and suburban areas.

The surge in its popularity is also linked to the rise of food delivery services, which have made it easier for customers to enjoy their favorite meals at the tap of a button.

“Our data indicates that fried chicken has been the most consistently ordered item in Kenya throughout 2025. The demand is largely driven by convenience, taste, and variety,” the report stated.

The findings also show that evenings and weekends record the highest number of orders. Many Kenyan customers are also exploring fusion options and upgraded versions of classic meals—a trend warmly embraced by restaurants working with delivery platforms.

With food delivery services continuing to expand, Uber Eats expects these ordering habits to shape menus and influence Kenya’s fast-food and casual dining scene in the years ahead.
