Form Four Leavers Advised to Seek Career Guidance for University Course Selection

Secondary school leavers have been urged to seek advice from career experts when choosing university courses, to ensure they make well-informed decisions for their future.

This call for guidance was made during a career open day at Zetech University’s Ruiru campus on Monday, where thousands of students from various secondary schools gathered. Many students shared their struggles with the pressure of selecting the right courses.

Collins Okoth, a student at the event, expressed, “The stress and uncertainty we face when choosing career paths can be overwhelming. We often make poor decisions without guidance. It’s important to understand current career trends, as popular courses like Business Management aren’t always the best options for everyone.”

The event highlighted the importance of seeking advice from parents, teachers, and career professionals to better navigate the course selection process.
