Tragedy struck a school for the deaf in Kapsabet when 11 learners were injured after reportedly falling into a septic tank.
The school is located near Kapsabet Girls, where President William Ruto was scheduled to visit. Police have secured the scene, though the President has not yet arrived.
Witnesses say the learners were watching the presidential motorcade as it arrived in the area when the incident occurred.
Rescue teams are currently at the scene working to recover the victims.
