British former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua was involved in a car crash in Ogun State, Nigeria, that claimed the lives of two people, according to local police reports.
The 36-year-old sustained minor injuries when his vehicle collided with another on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, Ogun State Police said on Monday.

Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the accident. Joshua was not immediately available for comment.
Eyewitness Adeniyi Orojo told Nigerian newspaper The Punch that Joshua was traveling in a Lexus that struck a stationary vehicle.
“Joshua was seated behind the driver, with another passenger next to him,” Orojo said. “There was also someone beside the driver, making four people in the Lexus at the time of the crash. His security team was following in another vehicle.”
Orojo added, “The passenger next to the driver and the person beside Joshua died on the spot.”
Joshua had been in Nigeria following his recent fight with YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul on December 19, which he won by a fifth-round knockout.
