Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has alleged a plot to harm him ahead of the burial of the late ODM party leader, Raila Odinga.
In a statement shared on social media Friday, Owino claimed he had credible information about individuals planning to attack him, though he did not reveal any names.

“There are plans to attack me on or before Baba’s burial day. I know those behind the scheme. My prayer is that we give Baba a dignified send-off free from unnecessary violence,” the legislator wrote.
Raila Odinga’s body has been lying in state at Nyayo National Stadium, where thousands of Kenyans have continued to file past to pay their last respects before his interment in Kisumu on Sunday.

The burial ceremony, set to take place in Bondo, Siaya County, will be conducted under the rites of the Anglican Church of Kenya, in keeping with Odinga’s faith.
