The company confirmed the resignation in a statement posted on LinkedIn, emphasizing that its leaders are expected to uphold high standards of conduct and accountability—standards that were not met in this instance.
The video, which captured Byron and Astronomer’s Chief People Officer Kristin Cabot embracing on the concert venue’s kiss cam, quickly spread online. The clip shows the pair reacting awkwardly once they realized they were on the big screen—Byron ducking out of view while Cabot turned away and covered her face.
Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, reacting to the moment, joked on stage, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.”
Internet users swiftly identified the duo through their social media accounts, prompting confirmation from the company. A company spokesperson said Byron and Cabot were the only Astronomer employees featured in the footage but declined to comment on Cabot’s current job status.
