According to police, the victim appears to have been assaulted by unknown individuals while returning home on Sunday, July 21.

A caretaker noticed bloodstains leading to the tenant’s house where the body was found. Muita was found deceased in bed with severe head injuries inflicted by a blunt object.

The motive behind the incident remains unclear. His body has been transferred to the Saitoti subcounty hospital mortuary for further investigation and a postmortem examination.

In Mwiki, Nairobi, authorities are also investigating a murder case following reports from the public about a body floating in the Nairobi River near Canaan estate.

The body, discovered in a prone position on Monday morning, appeared recent and was transported to the mortuary for identification, autopsy, and ongoing investigation.

Additionally, in Nairobi’s Dandora area, a tragic incident resulted in the death of 32-year-old Ann Wangari, who was electrocuted while installing a television antenna on her verandah.
