Ian Njoroge elucidated the motive behind his shocking assault on a police officer, citing frustration over the officer’s demand for a substantial bribe.
Identified as the perpetrator of the assault during a traffic stop in Mirema, Njoroge was apprehended at his residence in the Jacaranda area of Kayole, Nairobi, as part of an operation led by the Nairobi area DCI.
Following his arrest, Njoroge underwent a brief but rigorous interrogation by presumed officers, as depicted in a video obtained by Citizen Digital.
Handcuffed and questioned by two officers, Njoroge disclosed details about his parents’ occupations and denied receiving formal training.
When asked about his altercation with the officer, Njoroge claimed it was his first time striking an officer, attributing his actions to anger stemming from the officer’s exorbitant demands for a bribe.
During the tense exchange, one officer prodded Njoroge to insult himself, while another referred to him derogatorily as a “cow.”
The interrogation concluded with the officer labeling Njoroge a “dog.”
