Makueni Launches ‘HealthyDiets4Africa’ to Fight Malnutrition

On Wednesday, Makueni County Deputy Governor H.E Lucy Mulili met with a health department project team to collaborate on the “HealthyDiets4Africa” initiative.

In partnership with Kenyatta University and consortium members (Alliance Bioversity & CIAT and FSPN-Africa), this EU-funded project aims to combat malnutrition in Africa by enhancing the diversity of food systems. The initiative will be actively implemented in both Makueni and Nairobi Counties.

Mulili commended the team’s commitment to enhancing complementary feeding practices, as well as improving nutrition and health outcomes in Makueni.

She expressed the county government’s dedication to providing crucial support throughout the duration of this initiative.
