Zuchu has confirmed that her relationship with Tanzanian music star Diamond Platnumz has come to an end after six years together, saying she is now focusing on healing and moving forward.
The singer made the announcement on Sunday, July 12, 2026, following widespread speculation from fans over her absence at the lavish birthday celebration for Diamond’s mother, Mama Dangote.
The event, attended by close family and friends, saw Diamond, whose real name is Naseeb Abdul, present his mother with extravagant gifts, including a luxury Rolex watch reportedly worth 160 million Tanzanian shillings (about KSh7.8 million).
Addressing the speculation, Zuchu shared an emotional statement on social media confirming that she and Diamond had separated.
She said the decision was difficult but explained that after six years of trying to make the relationship work, she had chosen to put herself first.
Despite the breakup, the singer wished Diamond and his family well, expressing hope for the best as they each begin a new chapter in their lives.
Zuchu also revealed that her current focus is on healing, improving her health, and advancing her music career. She acknowledged that although they had tried to save the relationship, things did not work out as planned, adding that she accepts God’s plan and is ready to embrace the next phase of her life.
