The internet has become a powerful tool that continues to transform how people live, work and learn across the world. It has created new opportunities in business, education and communication, making daily activities faster, easier and more efficient.
One of the most significant changes has been in the business sector, where many entrepreneurs now use social media platforms and websites to market and sell their products. This has allowed businesses to reach a wider customer base beyond their local areas. Online marketing has also improved efficiency, as sellers can display products digitally, attract buyers quickly and in many cases offer delivery services, making shopping more convenient for consumers.
Education has also greatly benefited from internet access. Learners can now attend online classes, access learning materials and enroll in various courses from different institutions worldwide. This flexibility has made education more accessible, especially for individuals who cannot attend physical classes due to distance or other challenges.
In addition, the rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has further enhanced how people use the internet. AI tools now help users access information, receive guidance and solve problems instantly, reducing the need for physical consultations or lengthy processes.
Despite these benefits, discussions continue on whether the internet has more positive or negative effects. However, many people acknowledge that its role in improving communication, education and business is highly significant.

In an interview, Kimani, a businessman, shared how the internet has positively influenced his business. He explained that he uses online platforms to market his products by taking pictures, posting them with prices and including his contact information, which has helped him attract more customers.
He noted that the number of customers he receives has increased significantly compared to the period before he adopted online marketing, attributing this growth to the wider reach offered by the internet.
He further advised other business people to embrace internet-based marketing, describing it as an effective tool for expanding business and increasing sales.
