The funeral committee for the late Ol Kalou MP, David Kiaraho, has announced that he will be laid to rest on Friday, April 10, 2026.
Committee chairperson Kwenya Thuku said the burial will take place at the legislator’s farm in Tigoni, honoring his final wishes. Speaking on Monday after the committee’s second meeting at Kiaraho’s Runda residence in Nairobi, Thuku emphasized that the decision reflects the late MP’s personal request.

“Our departed colleague will be buried at his Tigoni farm, a place he often visited for relaxation and reflection, and where he wished to be laid to rest,” Thuku stated.
The committee also revealed that a church service will be held in Ol Kalou on Tuesday, April 7, allowing residents to pay their last respects. Another service will take place at St. Andrew’s Church.
Kiaraho was serving his third term as Ol Kalou MP, having first been elected in 2013. During his time in Parliament, he was a member of the Departmental Committee on Transport and Infrastructure as well as the Procedure and House Rules Committee.
Reports indicate that he passed away while receiving treatment, although details about his illness remain undisclosed. His death was confirmed by National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula, who said the MP died on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at around 1:20 a.m. at Nairobi Hospital.
David Njuguna Kiaraho had represented Ol Kalou Constituency in Nyandarua County since 2013 and was re-elected in 2017 and 2022. Before entering politics, he worked as an architect and served as a principal architect at Archgrid Systems from 1994.

Throughout his career, he focused on infrastructure development, housing, transport, energy, and urban planning. He was affiliated with the Jubilee Party and was widely recognized for his long service to the people of Ol Kalou.
