Police in Nyeri County have launched a manhunt for a suspect believed to have killed his 42-year-old girlfriend at his house in Kiamariga.
Authorities say the motive behind the incident has not yet been established.

The victim, identified as Annah Nyaguthi, was discovered dead inside the man’s house some time after the incident had occurred.
According to police reports, the suspect, who works as a houseboy at a nearby home, had invited the woman to his residence on March 6.
After the incident, the man allegedly fled the scene, according to both police and residents in the area.
Officers later visited the house and found it locked from the outside. After forcing their way in, they discovered the woman’s body lying on the floor with visible injuries on her face and neck.
The body was taken to a mortuary where a postmortem examination will be conducted as investigations continue.
Police said efforts to track down the suspect are ongoing.
Body Found in River in Homa Bay
In a separate incident in Ndiru, Homa Bay County, police recovered the body of a man floating in River Orembe in what is suspected to be a drowning case.
The deceased was identified as 52-year-old Philip Odhiambo. The circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear.
The body was moved to a mortuary pending further investigations.
Man Killed in Nairobi Attack
Meanwhile, detectives in Nairobi are investigating the killing of a man who was attacked in Akiba Estate.
The victim, identified as Derrick Masinde, was reportedly assaulted on Sunday morning.
Police said he was struck on the head with a metal rod and died at the scene. Two men are believed to have been involved in the attack, though the motive is still unknown.
The body was later transferred to a mortuary as investigations continue.
Man Found Murdered in Kiambu
In Thogoto, Kiambu County, police discovered the body of a man dumped by the roadside.
The victim was identified as Victor Karani Ndwiga, 30. Authorities said the body had injuries on the forehead, fresh wounds on the upper limbs, and visible signs of strangulation around the neck.
Blood stains were seen leading to where the body was found, suggesting there may have been a struggle before his death.
No arrests had been made at the time of reporting, and investigations are ongoing.
Decomposed Body Found in Kisumu
Elsewhere in the Dago area of Kisumu, police discovered the decomposed body of a 39-year-old man inside a house.
The deceased, identified as Eric Omondi, was found in his father’s abandoned house.
Police believe the body had been at the scene for some time before it was discovered.
It was later moved to a mortuary as authorities continue with investigations.
