A woman has been taken into custody in connection with the killing of her husband following a dispute over money in Manga, Nyamira County, police have said.
The incident occurred on January 16, 2026, in Tindereti village, Borabu area. The deceased was identified as 32-year-old Elijah Mogoi.

According to police, the couple reportedly disagreed over funds the woman had been sending from Saudi Arabia for development projects at home.
Investigations indicate that the woman returned to Kenya in December last year and discovered that no development had been carried out despite the money sent, leading to ongoing family disputes.

Mogoi’s body was later found outside his house with injuries to the head and face.
Officers who visited the scene recovered blood-stained clothes hidden in a basin under the bed, as well as a sharp knife suspected to have been used in the killing.
The woman was arrested as a person of interest, while the body was taken to the mortuary pending a postmortem examination.
