Kenyan actress Kate Actress has indirectly addressed rumors surrounding her dating life following her separation from husband Phil Karanja. Photographs of her alongside a man identified as Michael sparked speculations, especially after their appearance together during the premiere of WashWash Season 4.
Responding to the rumors, Kate Actress posted a cheeky caption on social media, saying, “Ati mmeniita Ndevu worshiper? Sawa tu na niliwawuooooon! Mmebaki side gani? Ya cereals ama cabbage? Na Msituroge aki.”
The actress, whose real name is Catherine Kamau, had publicly announced her separation from Phil Karanja on September 19, 2023, after five years of marriage. The couple, parents to one child, explained in a joint statement that their decision to end the marriage had been made privately some time ago.
Despite their separation, Kate Actress and Phil Karanja recently reconciled to celebrate their daughter’s birthday. However, Kate Actress has made it clear that a romantic reunion with Phil is not on the table, responding firmly to fans suggesting otherwise. She emphasized her independence in choosing her life partner, stating, “Mimi sio aina ya kukata tamaa! Ninapata kuchagua ninayemtaka, ninapotaka, sio vinginevyo. Mimi ni daraja la juu. Wewe ni pickmeisha. Kwaheri.”
The former couple, who had tied the knot in November 2017 in an intimate ceremony, continues to navigate their separate paths post-divorce.
