Witnesses told officers the lorry arrived at the spot at about 9 a.m., but by the following day, residents became concerned after noticing the driver had not exited the vehicle. Police who responded to the scene found his body slumped over the steering wheel and resting on the cabin bed.
Officers recovered medication believed to be for ulcer treatment and a bucket containing sputum inside the cabin. The driver was alone at the time.
The body was taken to the mortuary pending a postmortem, as the vehicle’s management was notified for further procedures.

In a separate incident in Sondu, Kericho County, a 15-year-old boy drowned while swimming in River Miriu on Friday evening. He had been in the company of other youths when the incident occurred.
The boy’s friends rushed to seek help after realizing he had drowned, and his body was later retrieved from the river. Police said the body was taken to the mortuary as investigations continue.
