Police Constable James Mukhwana is expected to appear before the Milimani Magistrate’s Court today in connection with the death of blogger and teacher Albert Ojwang.

Mukhwana, alongside OCS Samson Talaam and other suspects, faces murder charges following investigations by the Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA), which linked them to Ojwang’s death while in custody on June 8.
Today’s court mention is likely to confirm the transfer of the case file to the Kibera Law Courts and provide an update on pre-trial processes.
Mukhwana and Talaam had earlier challenged the decision to transfer them to Capitol Hill Police Station, claiming the move violated their rights.

However, the High Court ruled that the case should proceed under the jurisdiction of the Kibera Law Courts to ensure proper adjudication.
