The Toyota Gazoo team extended their lead to 36 points after the third round, securing a strong position in the championship.

Following the win, Evans expressed his joy, emphasizing that it was a significant achievement for the team, something they had worked hard to accomplish.

“What an incredible weekend… amazing support all the way through, and it feels fantastic to cross the finish line here. Thank you, everyone. It’s special as a Toyota driver to keep the winning streak alive at the Safari. This win is crucial for the team; they’ve worked tirelessly for this, and they truly deserve it,” he said.

This marked Evans’ first back-to-back victory, finishing over a minute ahead of Hyundai’s Estonian driver Ott Tanak.

Tanak, who had been leading the race, suffered a driveshaft failure on Friday.

Hyundai’s Thierry Neuville, the winner of last year’s rally, finished in third place.

Toyota drivers Sami Pajari and Takamoto Katsuta secured fourth and fifth positions, respectively.

Luxembourg’s Gregoire Munster took sixth, while Ireland’s McErlean rounded out the top seven, both driving Ford cars.
