Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan has said that Tanzania is completing the process of purchasing electricity from abroad specifically for the northern regions.
“Your government is taking steps to purchase electricity from abroad specifically for the northern regions so that electricity is available 24 hours a day without interruption. We are in the final stages of signing contracts to purchase electricity and connect the northern region,” said President Samia in his speech.
Samia said this while launching the Same-Mwanga-Korogwe water project.
