A 73-year-old woman lost her life in a house fire at Kapsita Hindu village in Elburgon, Molo, Nakuru County, on the morning of August 19.
Police identified the victim as Phylis Muthoni, who lived alone in the house. The cause of the blaze has not yet been established.

Her body was taken to Elburgon Level Four Hospital mortuary for a postmortem.
In a separate incident in Kwanza, Trans Nzoia County, 22-year-old Benjamin Wafula was found dead in the Ainasit stream after a suspected drowning.
Children herding animals discovered his body floating in the water. Police said preliminary investigations indicate the deceased had a history of epilepsy.
