Police have arrested a 45-year-old woman in connection with the sudden death of Dr Job Obwaka, a director at The Nairobi Hospital.
The suspect, Beatrice Wangare, is said to be the last person seen with the doctor before his death and was taken into custody on Saturday morning as investigations intensified.

According to a report from the hospital’s security team, Dr Obwaka was rushed to the facility by ambulance at around 7:00 p.m. on Friday after collapsing in Kitengela while on personal errands in the company of Wangare, who is believed to be a business associate.
Medical staff confirmed that he was already dead upon arrival. Police who examined the case noted that the deceased had a history of underlying health conditions, though the exact cause of death has not yet been established.
His body has been transferred to Lee Funeral Home, where it is awaiting a postmortem to determine what led to his sudden death as investigations continue.
