The CountyTrak Performance Index, developed by Infortrak Research, aims to provide citizens with a scorecard to assess the performance of county governments based on key performance indicators.
The index was conducted between October and December 2024, surveying all 47 counties, 290 constituencies, and 1,450 wards, with a total sample size of 39,795.
Data was gathered through Computer Assisted Telephone Interviews (CATI), using a 1-10 Likert scale to assess each performance indicator, where 1 represented “very poor” and 10 represented “excellent.”
The mean score for each sub-indicator of the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) was calculated, and the overall County performance index was determined by averaging the scores across all KPIs.
