Ugandan female parliamentarians are advocating for the establishment of a beauty salon within the parliament premises to enhance their engagement.
They argue that the recently introduced gym facilities often leave their hair disheveled, deterring many from utilizing the services.
State Minister for Water and Environment, Beatrice Anywar, emphasized the importance of accommodating the grooming needs of female MPs, stating that personal care is integral to their identity.
She suggested that having a salon on-site would enable female legislators to arrive early, dedicate time to grooming, and subsequently contribute effectively during parliamentary sessions.
