Two Arrested for Trafficking 26 Bales of Cannabis

Kenya Police have apprehended two men suspected of trafficking cannabis sativa along the Kisumu-Kericho highway.

The arrest came after a public tip-off led officers to intercept a suspicious motorcycle believed to be transporting the drugs for distribution.

During the operation, authorities recovered a suitcase containing 26 bales of cannabis, weighing around 50 kilograms, with an estimated street value of KSh 1.5 million.

The two suspects are currently in police custody, awaiting processing and court arraignment, while the seized cannabis has been secured as evidence.
