Speaking during a church service in Narok County, Sifuna claimed the website had been shut down due to cyber interference and said efforts were underway to strengthen its security before relaunch.
He noted that volunteer IT professionals from the United States and the United Kingdom had offered assistance in fixing vulnerabilities and restoring the platform.
According to Sifuna, the website was temporarily taken down on Saturday after it experienced numerous suspected cyberattacks.
He added that the Linda Mwananchi team also plans to incorporate feedback from the public to improve the website once it is restored.

The movement is associated with Sifuna and several leaders within the ODM party who oppose the party’s cooperation with the government. Among those involved are Babu Owino, James Orengo, and Godfrey Osotsi.

Another faction within ODM, led by Oburu Oginga and referred to as the Linda Ground team, supports a broad-based political arrangement and is advocating for a coalition with the United Democratic Alliance.
Both groups have been holding rallies in different parts of the country to promote their respective positions.
