Samsung has expanded its language offerings by adding Kiswahili and Amharic to its devices, enhancing accessibility for millions across East Africa.

With this update, users can now switch their system and keyboard languages to Kiswahili or Amharic through the device settings.
“The #GalaxyS25 Series is a true AI companion, designed to simplify and enhance your daily life. With improved and localized user experiences, including Kiswahili language support,” Samsung shared.
The tech giant aims to break down language barriers by integrating a variety of languages into its devices, making technology more accessible and user-friendly for non-English speakers.
Kiswahili and Amharic are widely spoken in East Africa, with Kiswahili being a common lingua franca for over 100 million people.
By adding these two languages, Samsung allows more users to interact with their devices in their preferred language.

How to Switch to Kiswahili or Amharic
Users can now use their preferred languages to navigate their devices. If you own a Samsung Galaxy phone, follow these steps to switch to Kiswahili or Amharic.
To Change the System Language:
- Open Settings.
- Go to General Management.
- Tap Language & Region, then select Language.
- Tap Add language and select your preferred language.
- Set it as default or move it to the top of the list.
To Change Keyboard Input:
- Open Settings in General Management.
- Select Samsung Keyboard from the Keyboard list and default.
- Tap Languages and types, then Manage input languages.
- Download and enable your desired language.
- Switch between languages by holding the spacebar or tapping the globe icon.
