The decomposed remains were found on Wednesday, August 13, with one body missing the right foot. Authorities and witnesses said the condition suggested the victims had been in the water for over four days.
Detectives suspect the women may have been killed elsewhere before their bodies were dumped in the river.
The remains have been moved to the mortuary for identification and post-mortem examination, as locals call for swift justice and the arrest of those responsible.
