The ODM Special National Delegates Convention (NDC) is underway at Jamhuri Grounds in Kibra, Nairobi County.

On the same day, the Linda Mwananchi faction, headed by Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, planned a parallel “People’s NDC” at Ufungamano House along Mamlaka Road in Nairobi.
This group, which includes Siaya Governor James Orengo, Vihiga Senator Geoffrey Osotsi, and Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, was reportedly prevented by police from accessing the venue.
Sifuna had been removed from his position by the National Executive Committee (NEC) and replaced in an acting capacity by Catherine Omanyo, pending ratification at the NDC.
On March 26, 2026, the Political Parties Disputes Tribunal (PPDT) directed Sifuna to first use the party’s internal dispute resolution mechanisms (IDRM) before taking legal action to challenge his removal as ODM secretary general.
