Pesapal has partnered with KCB Bank Kenya to modernise and fully digitise fuel station operations across East Africa, targeting over 10,000 fuel dealers through the deployment of its Forecourt Management Solution.
The system brings together fuel dispensing, sales tracking, inventory monitoring, payments and financial reconciliation into one integrated digital platform. It replaces manual processes that have long exposed fuel operators to losses, inefficiencies and limited visibility over daily operations.

The solution also addresses long-standing industry issues such as fuel shrinkage, inaccurate record-keeping and restricted access to credit, which have slowed the growth of fuel station businesses.
“Pesapal has spent years building deep expertise in fuel industry digitisation by working closely with oil marketers, fleet managers and dealers to understand their specific needs,” said Pesapal Founder Agosta Liko.
“Paired with KCB’s wide reach and innovative financing, our technology will help dealers modernise, plug revenue leaks, comply with regulations and—importantly—access growth capital based on verified data,” he added.
With real-time operational data captured through the platform, KCB will be able to better evaluate credit risk and offer stock financing and working capital to fuel dealers. This marks a shift toward data-driven lending in the petroleum sector.
“The rollout of this framework demonstrates our commitment to using technology and innovation to deliver comprehensive solutions for our oil and gas clients,” said KCB Bank Kenya Managing Director Annastacia Kimtai.
“We are expanding our support beyond financing to enhance efficiency, sustainability and growth across the entire oil and gas value chain,” she noted.

East Africa’s petroleum sector is rapidly evolving, with regulators increasing scrutiny, customers demanding more digital services and operators under pressure to boost transparency. Integrated digital platforms are now seen as essential for competitiveness and compliance in the region’s fuel retail industry.
