Government spokesperson Isaac Mwaura has come out in support of President William Ruto amid criticism from opposition leaders, insisting that the Head of State is fulfilling his commitments.
Speaking at Harambee Annex in Nairobi, Mwaura dismissed claims that only certain individuals can unite the country and called on Kenyans to give the government enough time to roll out its plans.

He said no previous administration has achieved as much within a similar period, urging leaders across the political spectrum to support President Ruto just as they were once supported while in office.
Mwaura also rejected assertions that alternative leadership is needed for national unity, maintaining that the President remains dedicated to his promises and the well-being of citizens.
His remarks come in response to recent criticism questioning the government’s performance.
He further argued that some opposition figures positioning themselves as better options are former officials who appear eager to return to power.
Mwaura emphasized the need to allow the President adequate time to deliver on his agenda.
Highlighting development efforts, he pointed to ongoing projects in northern Kenya, including the construction of what he described as the first stadium in Wajir since independence, which is set to host this year’s Madaraka Day celebrations.
He also mentioned road developments and improvements to airport infrastructure aimed at boosting trade and economic growth in the region.

According to Mwaura, these projects demonstrate the government’s focus on practical results rather than political talk.
Despite continued criticism from the opposition, the administration maintains that its economic policies, infrastructure developments, and social programmes are on track.
Mwaura concluded by urging leaders to promote unity and engage constructively as the government works to deliver its development agenda.
