MP Salasya Denies Being UDA Government Project

Mumias East MP Peter Salasya has rejected allegations that he is a project of the UDA following his announcement to run for president in 2027.

He dismissed the accusations as baseless propaganda created by individuals afraid of the political momentum he is generating nationwide.

“I am not a UDA project. I am not funded by State House. I have never received a single cent from any government official,” Salasya stated on his social media platforms.

Salasya also emphasized that no funds from the Mumias East NG-CDF have been misused.

“Not even a shilling. Our projects are visible, traceable, and transformative. Ask the students, schools, hospitals, and parents on the ground. We are delivering, not looting,” he added.

The MP stated that his support comes from a network of patriotic Kenyans who desire change, not from cartels.

“What you’re seeing isn’t money at work. It’s pure strategy, unparalleled charisma, and immense goodwill from Kenyans who believe in the future I represent,” he said.

In a statement shared on his social media on Monday, April 28, Salasya revealed that his decision to run followed deep reflection, broad consultations, and careful consideration of the country’s situation.

The 35-year-old MP invited all Kenyans, particularly youth, women, workers, entrepreneurs, and dreamers, to join him on a journey toward a brighter future for the country.

Salasya has already outlined his plans if elected president, including an industrialization strategy aimed at reducing unemployment from 35% to single digits, citing Rwanda as a successful example.

National inclusivity is another issue he intends to address.

Acknowledging the challenge of competing against experienced politicians, Salasya has vowed that he is ready for the race.
