Police in Kisii County have arrested a suspect after the body of a 48-year-old woman who went missing was found buried in a shallow grave in Nyaura.

According to police, the suspect—believed to be responsible for the murder—was arrested following the incident, which occurred on Monday.
The victim, identified as Zipporah Bosibori, was reported missing by her family earlier that day. Hours later, police received information that she had been killed and buried within a compound in the area.
When officers visited the scene, they found a freshly covered grave with a banana tree planted on top, right in front of a house.
Police have since detained the homeowner for questioning and obtained a court order to exhume the body for a postmortem. The motive behind the killing remains unclear as investigations continue.
