The five victims were laid to rest in various parts of the country: Josephine Akengo of Kibra was transported to Luanda, Vihiga County; Burka from Kiamaiko was buried at Kariokor Cemetery; Evans Onyango Kiche from Ruai was taken to Homa Bay; Maiko Okoth Okumu of Kibra was laid to rest in Alego Usonga, Siaya County; and Vincent Otieno Ogutu from Kasarani was transported to Rongo for burial.

Sonko covered a wide array of expenses, including coffins, mortuary fees, transportation, and meals for accompanying family members. Each adult received KSh 1,000 for lunch while children were given KSh 200. He also ensured smooth logistics, handling buses and all burial essentials, lifting a major burden from the grieving families.

In addition to financial support, Sonko assured the families that justice would be pursued for the victims, pledging to stand with them until clarity and accountability are achieved.
