Man in Custody After Allegedly Beheading His Two Children in Bomet

A 35-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the brutal killing of his two children in Tach Asis, Konoin sub-county, Bomet County.

According to local authorities, the man is accused of beheading his children, aged 2 and 7, using what is believed to be a kitchen knife. The motive behind the killings remains unclear, and police say investigations are ongoing.

Bomet County Police Commander Edward Imbwaga confirmed that the children’s bodies were discovered in the kitchen. The suspect’s wife, who was away at the time of the incident, found the bodies after noticing a trail of blood leading to the kitchen. She immediately alerted the police.

Officers responding to the scene recovered the suspected murder weapon. The bodies have been taken to Kapkatet Hospital Mortuary for a postmortem examination.

Police are continuing to interrogate the suspect as they work to establish the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
