Kenya Power has announced planned power outages in several areas across six counties on Wednesday.

The affected areas include parts of Nairobi, Kiambu, Kitui, Tharaka Nithi, Mombasa, and Kwale counties.
A public notice issued on Tuesday evening indicated that the power interruptions will occur at various times between 8 AM and 5 PM. These outages are necessary for system maintenance.
Nairobi
Power cuts will occur from 9 AM to 5 PM in parts of Nairobi, including areas such as Githurai 45, Co-op Bank, Naivas, Kingdom Sacco, Mt Kenya, Kimbo, Mwana Mukia, Clanne Academy, Kassmatt, Fountain Junior, Kwa DO Mukinye, Army Barracks, Sukari B, Mwiki School, Kimbo Police, parts of Mwihoko, Farmers Choice, Clay City, and nearby areas.
Additional areas affected include Eastleigh Section III, part of Yusuf Haji Road, Mega Wholesalers, Eastleigh Equity Bank, Huduma Centre Eastleigh, and parts of Eastleigh Second and Third Avenues.
Power cuts will also affect Evergreen Runda, Flame Tree, Ruaka Road, Runda Meadows, Bombax Drive, and Tala Drive.
Kiambu
Power interruptions in Kiambu will occur from 9 AM to 5 PM in areas including Ruaka town, Slaughter Road, Kyuna Road, Gertrude, Kinuthia Drive, California, James Drive, part of the Bypass, Delta, Total Petrol Station, and surrounding areas.
Kitui
Parts of Kitui will experience power cuts from 9 AM to 5 PM in areas such as Kora Market, Kwa Gavana, Mivukoni, Tseikuru, Kaningo, Usueni, Mikauni, Ngungani Market, Kiambere Water Supply, and Wikithuki.
Mt. Kenya Region
Power outages will occur from 9 AM to 5 PM in the Mt. Kenya region, affecting Kiamuthanga Market, Kiamuthanga Village, Mbogo-Ini Village, Tumutumu Farm, Tumutumu Secondary School, Kiamubira Primary School, Tumutumu Hospital, and nearby areas.
Other affected areas, with outages from 8 AM to 5 PM, include Birithia Girls, Mahiga Girls, Gathtuthi Girls, Gathuthi Tea Factory, Ndugamano Market, Kagere Market, Kenyatta Mahiga High School, Gitugi Tea Factory, Ihithe Secondary, Gura Village, Hubuini Market, Mathenge Technical Training Institute, Mahiga Coffee Factory, Kina TBC, Gacami Market, Ndunyu Market, and surrounding areas.
Tharaka Nithi
Tharaka Nithi will face power cuts from 8:30 AM to 4 PM in areas such as Godka Hotel, Chuka KPLC office, Chuka Kenya Police, and adjacent locations.
Mombasa
In Mombasa, power outages will occur from 9 AM to 5 PM, affecting the Technical University of Mombasa, Tudor Sub-County Hospital, Tudor Nora, Rasini Road, Tudor Kwa Mchele, Tudor Kiziwi, St Joseph Catholic, Tudor Mwisho, Kaa Chonjo, Nyumba ya Wazee, Kwa Amo Biriyani, Tudor Water Sports, and nearby areas.
Kwale
Kwale will experience power interruptions from 9 AM to 4 PM in areas including Mshiu, Mwangwei, Majoreni, Lungalunga, Mwangulu, Mtumwa, Vanga, Horohoro, and adjacent customers.
