Kithure Kindiki, the Cabinet nominee for Interior and National Administration, has reported that his net worth has risen to approximately Sh694 million.
Kindiki attributes this increase primarily to revenue from his law firm, which is now managed by others, and from his involvement in small businesses.
He emphasized, “I want to clarify that I have not gained from any unethical business dealings or conducted any business with the government.”
In October 2022, Kindiki had declared a net worth of Sh544 million, which included Sh165 million in land and buildings, about Sh50 million in bank deposits, and investments in shares and various saccos.
Kindiki made these statements during his appearance before the National Assembly Committee on Appointments for vetting on Thursday, where he was the first nominee to be reviewed among others.
He previously served as one of the 10 Cabinet Secretaries in President William Ruto’s dissolved Cabinet.
