During the funeral service of the late Marathon World Record holder Kelvin Kiptum, his wife Asenath Rotich shared emotional details about their upcoming wedding in April.
In tears, she expressed that despite their meticulous plans, she believes in God’s greater plan.
“We had been arranging for our wedding, envisioning a vibrant ceremony in April 2024, but we trust in God’s timing,” she disclosed.
Asenath vowed to uphold her commitment to love even in Kiptum’s passing, emphasizing his role as a devoted husband and father to their children.
“Even in your absence, I will continue to pledge my love to you. God chose you when your star was shining brightest. You have been an exceptional partner and father to our children,” she lamented.
Expressing her longing for his companionship, she concluded with hope for brighter days ahead.
Kiptum’s funeral procession commenced from his residence in Chepsamo to the Chepkorio showground, where the funeral service is ongoing.
