Kericho: Church Elder Dies in Lodge

Authorities in Kericho are investigating an incident involving the discovery of the lifeless body of a 60-year-old man in a lodge. David Kiplangat Ronoh, a church elder, was found deceased at the Kapsoit trading center lodging.

Charles Kibati, the police commander for Belgut sub-county, stated that the deceased was in the company of an unidentified young woman at the time of the incident. According to the police, he was discovered without visible injuries and without clothing.

Law enforcement officers from Kapsoit mentioned that the woman, who was with the deceased, reported the incident to the lodge’s management before fleeing the premises. Additionally, a used condom was found at the scene.

An ongoing investigation is underway, and a search has been initiated to locate the woman who left the scene. The deceased’s body has been transported to Kericho County Referral Hospital mortuary, awaiting an autopsy.
