Police in Nairobi are searching for a man suspected of killing his elder brother following a family dispute over Sh20,000 in Kawangware.
According to investigators, the incident occurred on the night of June 10, 2026, in the Kawangware 56 area after a disagreement between brothers escalated into a fatal confrontation.

Police say the argument turned physical before their sister intervened and separated them, pushing them out of their rented home in an attempt to calm the situation.
However, the younger brother allegedly returned moments later, claiming he wanted to collect his mobile phone. Once inside, he is said to have picked up a kitchen knife and stabbed Egesa in the upper abdomen before fleeing the scene.
The victim was rushed to Kenyatta National Hospital by his sister and other well-wishers, where he was admitted in critical condition. He later died on June 11 at around 8:00 p.m. while receiving treatment.
His body has been moved to the Kenyatta National Hospital mortuary awaiting a post-mortem examination.
Detectives have launched a manhunt for the suspect, who remains at large as investigations continue.
