He said Kanjama’s RIPE agenda — focusing on Rule of Law, Integrity, Practice and Welfare, and Engagement — aligns with the country’s current constitutional needs.
Kalonzo pointed to proposals such as publishing an annual Rule of Law Report, ensuring transparency in the Wakili Towers project, setting up a training institute, and strengthening mentorship and welfare for young advocates as signs of practical and value-driven leadership. He expressed confidence that Kanjama will guide the society firmly as the country heads toward the 2027 General Election.
He also commended outgoing LSK president Faith Odhiambo for what he termed bold leadership, especially in defending constitutional rights and demanding accountability during the 2024 Gen Z protests. According to Kalonzo, she exits office with dignity after restoring the moral standing of the presidency.
Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen equally congratulated Kanjama and all candidates who took part in the polls, noting that their participation strengthened the society. He described LSK as an important partner in promoting the rule of law, accountability, and public order, and pledged continued collaboration to enhance the criminal justice system.

Peter Salasya also lauded Kanjama’s election, urging him to remain steadfast in office. He referenced Odhiambo’s tenure, saying her courage during difficult times set a benchmark for independence and resolve.
Kanjama, who will serve from 2026 to 2028, has pledged to unite both supporters and competitors following his victory. Leaders have voiced optimism that his leadership will reinforce institutional reforms, strengthen the voice of the bar, and uphold the rule of law during a crucial political period for the country.
