Government To Hire 20,000 More Teachers- Ruto

President William Ruto announced that the government has already recruited 56,000 teachers, and an additional 20,000 will be hired soon to improve the quality of education in the country.

During a speech at Kamagut Primary School while laying the foundation stone for modern classrooms, Ruto mentioned that the government has allocated Ksh.46 billion in the new university funding model and an extra Ksh.5 billion for TVET capitation.

The president emphasized the aim to eliminate the Ksh.500 billion food importation bill within ten years, and he highlighted the challenges universities have faced with funding. The new funding model is designed to address these challenges, ensuring students have better access to education.

Ruto also expressed his commitment to creating employment through housing projects and providing universal healthcare, emphasizing his dedication to transforming the country.
