Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) leader Rigathi Gachagua has vowed to sustain pressure on President William Ruto through continued criticism of his administration.
Speaking in Githunguri Constituency after a meeting with Kikuyu elders in Kiambu County, Gachagua said the President’s recent sharp remarks against the opposition were triggered by their efforts to expose what he termed as poor governance and widespread corruption, particularly in the health sector.

He maintained that the opposition is determined to push Ruto out of office in the next general election, insisting that their campaign is gaining momentum and will not slow down until the current leadership is voted out.
Gachagua emphasized that the opposition will keep highlighting what he described as major government failures and alleged corruption within key institutions.
He further claimed that their recent allegations about a supposed plan to take control of Nairobi Hospital angered the President, leading to his attacks on opposition figures.

The DCP leader reiterated his commitment to holding the government accountable, saying he will continue to challenge the administration over issues affecting Kenyans.
He also took aim at Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, accusing him of neglecting development in his home region of Igembe North and failing to tackle ongoing issues such as livestock theft and banditry, despite previously serving as Interior Cabinet Secretary.
